Ahhh the hard life of a 3 year old...

Well yesterday (Monday) was a fun day in our house...Monday's Maddison has ballet/tap class which she really loves but yesterday was just one of those days! We have all been pretty sick in the house and I offered to let her stay home but she begged me to take her so we went. I knew though that she was not going to listen and that she would be the one her teacher (Mrs. Patty) was calling on and what do you know...she isn't listening then she starts crying and snot is everywhere and ugh class was almost done so I had a talk with her and she finished tap out just fine. Well come time to leave and I was talking to another momma and Maddison did her little you wanna mess with me thing she does and I told her to come on and well she proceed to tell me she was going to bust my ass at which I looked up and her teacher and all other parents were looking at me...I wanted to laugh not going to lie but she knew she was in the wrong and that we don't say those kind of words so...she got a spanking and had to apologize to everyone. I don't know where she heard that, we don't say that to her for that very reason. I have always heard it's the terrible twos but after having a two year old and now a very mouthy, mean at times, attitude filled, not wanting to listen three year old, I think 3 is the number not 2...Maddison was an amazing 2 year old...COME ON 4, I mean it can only get better right...someone say right! I know she is testing the water and I understand that. Sometimes I also think it's just to get attention (Molly requires a lot LOL) and we try to give her her own one on one time. This is also a big time for her, the world is just such a big place and she is trying to figure out where she stands. She is soooo independent...dresses herself, goes to the bathroom herself, always telling me I can do it. I love that about her, she is an amazing little person and I can't wait to see where she goes in life. However I will be glad when we are done with being a 3 year old. It's a hard life!
We love our Maddison Kay!
